2012 TII Annual Conference

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES

Sustainability – Innovation Services for a Smarter Economy contains two buzz words “sustainability” and “smart economy”. Sustainability has several meanings: durable, green and cost-effective/affordable. These different aspects will be developed/covered during our conference. A smart economy combines the successful elements of the enterprise economy and the innovation or ideas economy while promoting a high-quality environment, improving energy security and promoting social cohesion. The smarter economies of the future will be those that can achieve this combination of attributes.

PARTICIPANTS

The conference is an excellent opportunity to get connected with people coming from different professional backgrounds from both the private and public sector who share the same passion for innovation and technology transfer. In this way, the conference is guaranteed to provide excellent networking opportunities with knowledge transfer and innovation support practitioners from around the world. It offers a vibrant meeting place for sharing experience, exchanging ideas and building and strengthening the profession.

DATE/VENUE

The conference will start on Wednesday 25 April 2012 with a programme of visits to selected Science and Technology organisations in the region. It will be followed by two days of conference presentations which will take place at Nokia Denmark (main entrance at Frederikskaj 12 - 2450 København SV). The TII Annual General Meeting and welcome reception will be held at Aalborg University, Frederikskaj 10A - 2450 København SV (next door to Nokia) on Wednesday 25 April 2012, starting at 18:00. The conference closes at 15:00 on Friday 27 April.

ACCOMMODATION

A block booking of rooms has been reserved in 2 hotels in 2 different price categories. Prices range from 520 DKK (+/-  70 EUR) for a Standard Single room to 640 DKK (+/- 85 EUR) for a Standard Twin room for a suite at the Cabinn City and from 1070 DKK (+/- 142 EUR) for a Standard Single room to 1370 DKK (+/- 183 EUR) for a Superior double/twin at the Copenhagen Island Hotel. COST

Participants may register for one or two days of the conference. The full conference fee for TII & ProTon Europe members is €350 and €250 for one day. Non-members pay €550 and €350 respectively. A special rate of €250 is available for conference presenters, and for the second delegate upwards registering from the same organisation. The conference fee covers entry to the conference, all documentation, lunch and refreshments on each day, as well as the conference dinner and pre-conference visits.  If you sign up for TII membership in 2012, you will receive a complimentary place at the annual conference. REGISTRATION

Registration for the conference should be done exclusively via the on-line booking facility you can find on the right of this page. On receipt of your registration, the TII secretariat will send you a message by e-mail confirming your attendance and will invoice you the fee.
